We are seeking donations of unworn winter
clothing such as: hats, gloves, scarves, sweat shirts, and socks. On Sunday,
January 25 at 2:00pm, we will assemble packages of new, unworn winter clothing
to distribute to local homeless shelters. This year, we will also be collecting
warm blankets to distribute along with the clothing. Join us at the BUF Office
of the Black United Fund, 4104 44th Street, Sacramento CA. 95820.
Your
generous donations will be distributed to: the Center for Community Health and Well Being, Wellspring
Women’s Center, Next Move (formerly Sacramento Area Emergency Housing Center)
and Loaves and Fishes, all of which provide services to individuals and
families that are homeless.
